Happy Friday!
This week contains two holidays, Passover and Easter. Passover commemorates the freedom of the Jews from the slavery of Egypt, and a central symbol is Moses parting the waters of the ocean – a miracle. Easter is about the resurrection of Jesus after his death- a miracle. The more mundane miracle is the sudden arrival of spring, characterized by warm weather, daffodils, and a surge of energy and hope.
Create Your Own Miracle
Miracles can be considered to be confirmations of what is possible. This exercise can be really helpful!
1. Ask yourself what miracles have occurred in your life and how that makes you feel.
2. Set a timer for two minutes and write.
Success has no limits other than the ones we ourselves place upon ourselves. Did Moses literally part the Red Sea? Maybe or maybe not, but the factual miracle was escaping slavery. Did Jesus rise from the dead? Or is it the story of how faith overcomes everything? Did Spring really arrive, or did the weather just change?
Whatever your beliefs are, faith is something we can always use more of!
3. If you could design a miracle to happen in your life, what would it be, and how would it feel?
4. Set a timer for two minutes and write.
Completing this four-minute exercise will both cheer you up and create a new possibility for success.
Happy Passover, Happy Easter, and Happy Spring.
