Happy Friday!
I’m excited! Yesterday, my new website went live so please check it out and if you haven’t already signed up for this newsletter, sign up and and tell your friends.
Just after my website went live, the mail came and I received my NYU pin that commemorates 20 years of teaching at New York University.
I love it when good things come in pairs, so I decided to push my luck.
My writing prompt was to write about this photo, and I wrote about strawberries, and that I’d forgotten to buy them. I dared the Universe to create a miracle by “magically” producing a quart of strawberries, just for fun, then completely forgot the exercise.
Later, when I met my amazing friend Lisa Okochi for dinner, she arrived at the restaurant, plopped down and handed me a plastic bag, and said, “Just as I was leaving, my neighbor asked me if I wanted a quart of strawberries, but I don’t really like them. They’re for you!”
If you try asking for a miracle, let me know what happens. Lisa, who’s a wise and spiritually attuned person laughed and said, ” What folks don’t get is that all you have to do is ask!”
Here’s to your successful writing,
Professor Marilyn Horowitz
