The Friday Funny

I hope you’ve been enjoying the Friday Funnies. This is a new project and will keep you posted on developments in 2020.

As the year draws to a close, I always look back briefly to see what I have accomplished this year. I spend about an hour and write about what I would like coming in the new year.

New Year’s exercise:

1. Set a timer for 15 minutes and make a list of all the good things that happened in 2019.

2. Set a timer for 15 minutes, and write continuously, freeing yourself from all considerations of common sense. Make this a wish list for 2020 based on desire, not on fact.

3. Set a timer for 30 minutes to make a mind map on a piece of paper and either cut out images or simply write words that represent the things that you would like for the next year. This map can be a cluster revolving around you, or an actual map.

4. If you need more time to make your map, set the timer again and work in increments of 30 minutes. When you have completed it, put the map or cluster away somewhere and don’t look at it until December 2020.

You’ll be amazed at how much on your list comes true.

The newsletter will resume on January 3rd.

I wish you all every happiness in the coming year, and beyond!

Here’s to your successful writing,

Professor Marilyn Horowitz
