It’s been both an exciting and an unhappy week. Writing is wonderful, but war is terrible. I hope we’ll all send our positive wishes and prayers that there be a fast and equitable resolution!
Scripting Webinar #3
The webinar was very exciting and the story problem that we discussed was: How do you write a successful story that has a sad ending? My answer was that you have to give your audience hope at the end, even if the hero fails or worse. For example, if we look at the story of Jesus, he was crucified which was very sad, but then he was resurrected, which left us with hope. Whether you consider the story of Jesus to be history or a parable, what is important from a writers’ point is to understand what makes the telling irresistible. Several people have asked if there’s another class so I’m considering teaching another section starting in May. If you’re interested, you can read about it on my website, and let me know, so I can gauge whether or not to schedule another session.
We Need New Stories
My scripting techniques allow you, the writer, to tap into a vast reservoir of stories that go back to the beginning of time. Through Scripting, the writer can safely tap into the part of themself which is truly original, and freely express themselves on the page. We need new stories more than ever now that we have survived the pandemic, are suffering from inflation, and now must cope with war. People need hope, not fairytales. Please write uplifting stories of ordinary people overcoming impossible odds, because that’s what we all just did! The right tale told well demonstrates to the viewer how to live a better life, by offering new perspectives.
Ongoing Scripting Webinars
My ongoing webinars are complimentary because I want to share my passion to help people reconnect with their true creative identity, which is often hidden and lost in the necessary battle for survival.
The Next Scripting Webinar
Please join me for the fourth session of the Scripting Webinar coming up on March 16. Please send me an email if you want to attend and we’ll send you the link. In this upcoming episode of the scripting webinar, I will be demonstrating how to use the “Word of the Day” technique for advanced story creation, and personal insight.
Please join me for this fun adventure and bring pen and paper.
Here’s to your successful writing,
